meet Tyler Watt

Tyler Watt is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Nepean, a Registered Nurse, and a proud product of the community he now represents. Born and raised in Barrhaven, Tyler knows firsthand how hard it’s become for families to access basic healthcare, find affordable housing, and build a life they can be proud of.

Before being elected, Tyler spent years advocating for better healthcare and education—both at the bedside and at Queen’s Park. His journey began as a student nurse speaking out against harmful policies, and eventually led him to serve as a parliamentary assistant and a standout candidate in the 2022 election.

Today, as the Ontario Liberal critic for Training, Colleges & Universities and Long-Term Care, Tyler is focused on making smart, compassionate investments in people—so students, seniors, and families alike can thrive. He brings his nursing experience, his deep community ties, and his trademark empathy to every decision he makes.
