As your Member of Provincial Parliament, one of the greatest privileges of the job is spending time in the community with the people who make Nepean such a special place to call home. As this is my first summer in office, I have been privileged to attend community events, meet many of you, and hear your stories.
From Canada Day at Clarke Fields Park, to celebrating local volunteers from Nepean at the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards, to attending elementary and high school graduations at schools across our riding. Being able to attend these events inspires me and reminds me why I chose to serve our community in the first place. The energy, kindness, and determination of the people of Nepean have shone through in every meeting and conversation I have had this summer, and I am excited to see what the future holds.
The connections I have made with so many of you, whether at your doors or at community events, have been more than just enjoyable conversations for me: they have guided my work at Queen’s Park, keeping me focused on what matters most. Making sure our community gets its fair share and that the issues most important to you are front and centre with this government.
As the summer winds down and we head into a busy fall, I look forward to carrying the energy I have gained over the last few months with me into the work I am doing at Queen’s Park. I look forward to continuing to connect with our local community organizations, visiting our local schools, and meeting with constituents to hear your concerns.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to chat with me, share a concern, or invited me to join them at an event. I am so grateful to represent such an incredible community.
