As your Member of Provincial Parliament for Nepean, one of the greatest parts of my job is getting out into the community, meeting my neighbours, and connecting with the people who make our riding such a special place to call home.

On Saturday, September 20th, I had the privilege of hosting my very first community barbecue at our constituency office at 250B Greenbank Road. I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out to share the afternoon with us. It was truly remarkable to see so many long-time friends and familiar faces, while also meeting new friends and hearing your stories.

This event was not only about good food and conversation, but about building stronger connections between our community, my office and my team of staff. It gave me the chance to listen directly to the concerns and priorities of residents, and to hear firsthand the ideas that will help guide my work at Queen's Park. Whether it was talking about healthcare, education, affordability, or simply life in Nepean, the conversations reminded me why I sought elected office in the first place.

A special thank you goes out to the Nepean Raiders Jr A team, who were on hand to support the event and show once again why they are such an important part of Nepean. It was such an amazing honour to have the team there, handing out burgers and connecting with our community. I also want to recognize the local volunteers who helped make the day a success, and the many residents who stopped by just to say hello and grab a bite.

This was the first of many opportunities to bring people together in Nepean. I look forward to hosting more community events in the future, meeting even more of you, and continuing to ensure that your voices are heard loud and clear at Queen's Park.
